Northern Cape Cultural Overland Tour

THE NORTHERN CAPE CULTURAL AND ADVENTURE OVERLAND TOUR (12 DAYS)

DAY 1: Cape Town to Lamberts Bay, a quaint fishing village where we will overnight.

DAY 2: Lamberts Bay to Springbok.

DAYS 3 – 5: The Richtersveld National Park, situated on the border with Nambia, is a barren and desolate yet spectacularly beautiful region. It is the only mountainous desert area in South Africa. Boulder-strewn valleys and deep ravines formed by tributaries of the Orange River interrupt rugged mountainscape and miles and miles of flat plains that stretch westwards to the diamond-rich Atlantic coast. This area is a delight for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a solitary getaway, with only the magical scenery to keep you company. An excellent way of experiencing the wilderness atmosphere in the Richtersveld is on foot, and certain areas have been specifically zoned for hiking. There are also four-wheel-drive trails and camping sites.

This provides another perspective of the Richtersveld spectacular scenery and interesting geology. No previous experience of river rafting is required and participants are given a comprehensive briefing by professionals before setting off.
