GARDEN ROUTE ADVENTURE AND CULTURAL TOUR (11 days)
Day 1 : Leave Cape Town driving along coast and stopping at interesting spots such as Steenbras river mouth, Hermanus- whale watching, Gansbaai- great white sharks, Cape Agulhas, visit Elim-an old Moravian mission station. Set up camp at Arniston. Have an invigorating beach walk at Arniston and visit cave at low tide.
Day 2 : Swellendam, Bontebok National Park-overnight camp. Canoeing on Breede river, game viewing and birding.
Day 3 : Wilderness National Park-overnight at Ebb and Flow camping site. Canoeing, cycling, hiking through forest to waterfalls and swimming holes
Days 4-6 : Set up base at Harkerville-2 nights and three days. Visit Knysna-explore town, township tour, Rastafarian settlement, see elephants and Monkeyland and walk to Knysna heads, where the lagoon meets the sea. Walks through forest to rugged coastline, mountain biking and horse riding.
Days 7 and 8 : Camp at Tsitsikamma National park. Canopy tour, Black water tubing, Walks, Abseiling and Cycling
Day 9 : Return to Knysna- Choo-choo (steam engine) to George, camp at De Hoop-Oudshoorn. Visit ostrich farm, Cango caves (adventure route)
Day 10 : Swartberg Pass to N1- Worcester, visit Karoo Botanical Gardens- overnight at Goudini Spa
Day 11: Return to Cape Town via scenic route.
